A GREAT UNEXPECTED SURPRISE!   Check out what I’m giving to my neighborhood trick or treaters this year! 

I had my neighbor who just had a baby load me up with some freshly made diapers! *wink-wink* Okay -  not really but that’s exactly what the kiddos in my neighborhood will think when I hand them a diaper from either a cauldron or a Diaper Genie (okay folks – I am a prankster but I think only a NEW Diaper Genie would suffice *grin*).  There are a couple of things you need to successfully pull this off….Make sure to have a soundtrack of a crying baby in the background, wear a clothespin on your nose or pinch your nose as you hand a dirty diaper treat bag to each of the kids.  I can guarantee a look of horror and surprise!  Bwa-Haaa-HaaaaaaAAAaaa!!

How’d I do it?

Make a run to Walmart or another discount store and grab yourself a pack of newborn to size 1-2 diapers

Pick up a box of disposable diaper bags – I found these bags at the Dollar Tree Store!

A bunch of tootsie rolls in a variety of sizes or just a mixture of candy to wrap up inside

Of course, a funky cool container to hold your dirty diaper collection…I used a witch’s cauldron but REALLY think a Diaper Genie (new!) would rock!

Step 1.  Gather all of your supplies

Step 2.  Open up each diaper and place your “treats” inside.  It’s up to you to determine how generous you want to make your dirty diaper!

Step 3.  Roll up the diaper just like you would with a real dirty diaper!  It’s been about five years since I’ve had to do this – I wrapped the first so tightly that the “treat” leaked out the sides!  Oops!  Can’t have that!  Once I loosened it up a bit it rolled right up just like any other dirty diaper!

Step 4.  Drop each diaper into a bag and knot. 

Step 5. Drop your collection in a diaper bucket, cauldron or whatever else you want to use. 

I just decided to add a tag to each diaper -with some funny sayings like “P.U. What’s that horrible smell?…. Hey Stinker….Happy Halloween!….The stinks on you….etc…
